Pioneer DJM-5000 Print Ad
They all know about the DJM 5000. Why? Because in the Fall 0f 2009 we were everywhere they were. I don’t think we could have screamed any louder, any longer or any more than we did through emails blasts, print ads and online media. And the result was clear. They said at that year’s DJ Expo, “Ok…shut up…we hear you already…the new DJM-5000 is here and we love it.” We promised not to scream anymore. All were happy.
Shine On, a Pink Floyd tribute band that we play in, got to rock the OC Pavilion (is that a big band or what?) with former Floyd touring Sax Man Scott Page.
We had a blast and what a great way to put all that gear to use.

Since 1972, MagTek has been a leading manufacturer of electronic devices and systems for the reliable issuance, reading, transmission and security of cards, checks, PINs and other identification documents. From the ground up, everything was examined. We felt like the guys on CSI, just without the cool vests and blood testing kits. Like a corporate autopsy, we dug deep into the critical working of the consumer relationship and concluded with the theory that people need to have something they ‘believe’ about you. After website, product catalogs, sales presentation materials, marketing and media plans, corporate identity, and much more, MagTek got an extreme makeover and is looking good, baby! Looking good.
QwicKey Logo and Packaging
In this digital age, you bet they are. Think of all the sites you frequent, all the transactions your initiate and maintain online. Our client, MagTek designed a personal online security device to fend off these crooks. It’s called QwicKey. People want something that is so secure that nobody can rip them off. MagTek has over 35 years of experience keeping banks and personal transactions safe, so why not the average Joe? So we did it all: logo, packaging, strategy, brand identity, collateral, marketing and advertising plans…the whole shebang. HDJ-2000 Belly Bands On Various Print Magazine Covers
No, it’s not Christmas just yet. Well, I guess it sort of is if you like listening to music. Our friends at Pioneer pulled out all the stops (in pipe organ vernacular) and launched an amazing set of headphones called the HDJ-2000. To get the news out we thought we’d get then in front of people where they live – on the web and at home. Rich-media banners got placed on seven key publication websites. But we also did something no one had ever done before. We bought ‘belly-bands’ to wrap the same seven magazines on the same month! 1.6 million viewers got a double dose of the promotion and countless others over the next several months as we integrated print ads, other banner ads, PR, sales sheets, videos and micro sites that resulted in the HDJ-2000 being the most popular selling headphone for DJ’s on the market. So, I guess it’s kind of Christmas…all year long.
