Since 1972, MagTek has been a leading manufacturer of electronic devices and systems for the reliable issuance, reading, transmission and security of cards, checks, PINs and other identification documents.  Whew…that was a mouthful.  When you have such technical business, how do you make it relate to everyone, expert or novice?  You re-Brand.

From the ground up, everything was examined.  We felt like the guys on CSI, just without the cool vests and blood testing kits.  Like a corporate autopsy, we dug deep into the critical working of the consumer relationship and concluded with the theory that people need to have something they ‘believe’ about you.  After website, product catalogs, sales presentation materials, marketing and media plans, corporate identity, and much more, MagTek got an extreme makeover and is looking good, baby!  Looking good.

No, it’s not Christmas just yet.  Well, I guess it sort of is if you like listening to music.  Our friends at Pioneer pulled out all the stops (in pipe organ vernacular) and launched an amazing set of headphones called the HDJ-2000.  To get the news out we thought we’d get then in front of people where they live – on the web and at home.  Rich-media banners got placed on seven key publication websites.  But we also did something no one had ever done before.  We bought ‘belly-bands’  to wrap the same seven magazines on the same month!  1.6 million viewers got a double dose of the promotion and countless others over the next several months as we integrated print ads, other banner ads, PR, sales sheets, videos and micro sites that resulted in the HDJ-2000 being the most popular selling headphone for DJ’s on the market.  So, I guess it’s kind of Christmas…all year long.
